Criterion 1: Curricular Aspects

  • Revised guidelines for incorporating Preparedness for NEP 2020 in the AQAR (Annual Quality Assurance Report) have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to focus on developing and implementing curricula aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Criterion 2: Teaching-Learning and Evaluation

  • Guidelines for the use of technology in teaching-learning and evaluation have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to adopt innovative and blended teaching-learning methods.

Criterion 3: Research, Consultancy and Extension

  • Guidelines for bibliometric data (publication) validation have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to promote research and innovation.

Criterion 4: Infrastructure and Learning Resources

  • Guidelines for the development and maintenance of physical and digital infrastructure have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to provide adequate learning resources for students.

Criterion 5: Student Support and Progression

  • Guidelines for the development and implementation of student support services have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to provide comprehensive student support services.

Criterion 6: Governance, Leadership and Management

  • Guidelines for the implementation of good governance practices in higher education institutions have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to adopt transparent and accountable governance practices.

Criterion 7: Institutional Values and Social Responsibilities

  • Guidelines for the promotion of institutional values and social responsibilities have been released.
  • Institutions are encouraged to promote inclusivity, diversity, and social justice.

Other updates:

  • The fee structure for assessment and accreditation has been revised.
  • The timeline for submission of pending AQARs has been extended.
  • The validity of the accreditation period has been extended.
