If you do not have a subscription to Scopus, you can still access the Scopus Sources list, which includes all of the journals indexed in Scopus. You can also access the CiteScore metrics for Scopus-indexed journals on the free layer of Scopus.com.
Note: It may take some time for a newly published research paper to be indexed. If you cannot find a research paper immediately after it is published, try searching again a few days or weeks later.
Here are some additional tips for crosschecking if a research paper is indexed:
- Check the journal’s website to see if it is listed as a indexed journal.
- Check the reference list of other indexed research papers to see if the research paper you are interested in is cited.
- Use a research search engine such as Google Scholar to search for the research paper. If the research paper is indexed, it will typically appear in the search results.
Second Way-out
- Search for the paper on Preview. Scopus Preview is a free website that allows you to search for papers indexed. To search for a paper, enter the title of the paper or the DOI in the search bar. If the paper is indexed, it will appear in the search results.
- Search for the journal on the Sources list. The Sources list is a list of all journals indexed. To search for a journal, enter the title of the journal in the search bar. If the journal is indexed, it will appear in the search results.
- Check the journal’s website. Most Scopus-indexed journals will have a statement on their website indicating that they are indexed. You may also be able to find a link to the journal’s profile on their website.
- Contact the journal’s publisher. If you are unsure whether or not a paper is indexed, you can contact the journal’s publisher to inquire.
